Welcome

It is our mission to develop our students’ full potential spiritually, academically, socially, and physically; to prepare our students not only for life today, but for life eternal.

Educating Today and for Eternity!

Welcome to Reading Junior Academy. We are a Pre-K through 10th grade Seventh-day Adventist Christian school located in Reading, PA.  Our school is part of the world-wide Seventh-day Adventist school network.  The Seventh-day Adventist educational system includes elementary and high schools, colleges and universities in countries around the globe.

Student/Parent Pledge

As part of the registration process the student and parent(s) will sign a statement to the effect that they have received and read the school handbook and agree to the terms contained therein.  It is mutually agreed that every student who presents him/herself for admission to the school thereby pledges to observe willingly all its regulations and to uphold the Christian principles upon which the school operates.  If a student or parent shows an unwillingness to cooperate with the expectations as outlined in this handbook or as announced by the faculty during the year, the student and parent(s) are assumed to have canceled their pledge, therefore disqualifying the student to continue attending our school.

Special Education Policy

PA Conference Schools offer limited support for students with learning, behavior, or language challenges. PA Conference Schools do not have the necessary equipment or staff to meet all potential needs of students who exhibit serious academic, physical, social, or language learning acquisition needs. Therefore, students who have serious academic, physical, social, or language needs may not be accepted at PA Conference Schools.

Should these problems be indicated after the student is enrolled, the school administration will assist the parent(s) in accessing services through the local intermediate unit such as student testing, implementation of an IEP or ISP, or intervention by the intermediate unit. If the child’s discovered needs are unable to be met, PA Conference Schools reserves the right to request or require the student to be transferred to a school or program where assistance is available.
